Our top 5 good neighbor hotels near Disneyland. Over the last 18 years, we have stayed at A LOT of hotels near Disneyland. We have had good and bad experiences and learned quite a bit from our trips. In the last 3 years, we have really zoned in on our top 5 go to hotels when we visit the Disneyland parks. I will admit that our absolute favorite hotels to stay at are on the Disneyland property, the Grand Californian and Disneyland Hotel, but when we want to get to the parks on a budget, these 2 hotels are not an option. We visit the Disney parks 3-5 times a year from Arizona, and as we become more involved in the Disney content creator community, we find ourselves at the parks even more frequently.

In no particular order, the first on our list is the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Anaheim. This hotel is located just 0.6 miles from the Disneyland gates and an 11 minute walk. Things we love about this hotel: We have a family of 5 with 3 teens, so having ample space and sleeping spots is a huge priority and a major plus for this location. Their standard room sleeps 5 adults perfectly. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean and spacious too. Their staff is welcoming and accommodating. Depending on where your room is located, you may hear some highway noise. This can be challenging if you are sensitive to sound, but they do have white noise machines in the rooms, which we used and loved. I would say the biggest con to this hotel is the parking fee of $30/day/car. This is pretty standard, but adds up really fast! Overall, we have always enjoyed our stays at this location and would highly recommend! You can check for reservations here. Similarly to Holiday Inn, next on our list and just a hop, skip and jump away from the above hotel is, Home 2 Suites by Hilton Anaheim located at 1441 S. Manchester Ave.Anaheim, California 92802. We stayed here very recently with a large family group and really enjoyed it. We got in pretty early in the day and wanted to get to the parks before our rooms were ready. Their staff stored our luggage so we could get it at check in later that night and we didn’t have any issues. The rooms themselves are nice and large, definitely comfortable enough for our family of 5.

Their lobby is updated and beautiful, and the rooms are like new. We had a studio suite and it included a mini kitchen with full size fridge we loaded up with drinks for 4 days. This hotel is also 0.6 miles from the entrance at Disneyland. There were a couple cons for me at this hotel. We were there for 3 nights and our room was never cleaned (March 2022). I don’t know if it was an oversight or error. I had called to make sure it was going to be cleaned and it still wasn’t, so that was a little disappointing. The parking fee is also $30 and if you are like us and stay in the parks on your “check out” day, you pay an additional parking fee if your vehicle is still there after noon. We ended up paying $120 in parking fees for 3 nights. Overall, especially if you’re flying in and can avoid parking fees, we would highly recommend the Home 2 Suites Hilton. Next up is the Best Western Plus Park Place Inn & Mini Suites located at 1544 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802. You can’t get much closer to the park entrance than this hotel! This hotel has a lot of pros, including a wide variety of types of suites. You can really find the perfect room for any family. Pre-covid there was a legit breakfast buffet. Based on their website, they are doing grab-n-go currently. I know we’ve talked parking fees and this one on the lower end at $15/night. The biggest benefit of this hotel is its proximity to the Disneyland Parks entrance. It is quite literally across the street and really makes staying “off property” very easy. Another great option is the Hyatt House at Anaheim, located at 1800 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802. The Hyatt House at Anaheim is only 0.6 miles from the parks entrance. It really is a quick and easy walk. One of my favorite things about this location is the suite feels like an apartment. We stayed at this location for 4 days and really enjoyed having so much space, especially with “big kids”. The bedroom and living area is separated and it has a full kitchen and dining area-which was great for late night dinners. Their pool is a really neat setup. The Walgreens that is practically attached to the hotel is very convenient! The only con is the walk feels a bit longer than others in this list, but I think that is because you do have to cross a couple different intersections. Not a deal breaker at all for us, but it is the only con I could think of! To check availability visit here.

Good Neighbor Hyatt House at Anaheim Quick Facts:

Lastly, but certainly not least, the Hotel Lulu located at 1850 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802. This is right next to the Hyatt House, so it has some similarities as far as location. This is a Best Western hotel, so you can definitely earn and use points here, but it feels like a boutique hotel. It is by far the most affordable hotel out of all of the ones listed here. Rooms start at $129/night. The rooms are updated, pretty standard size. The aesthetics are really great at this hotel and it made me smile every time I walked through the lobby. If you appreciate a mid-century modern Cali vibe…this hotel is for you. There is a cocktail hour where the staff will get you a drink in the lobby-so fun. The walk to Disneyland is similar to the Hyatt House at 0.6 miles. Hotel Lulu is definitely worth considering for your next trip, you can check their availability here.
