The first Disney movie I watch every year to kick off the Fall season is Hocus Pocus. It brings me back to my childhood and gets me so amped for Halloween. What better way to indulge in the moment than with a Hocus Pocus inspired treat board for Halloween!
Here is the finished product:
There were so many fun parts of this creation. Let’s break down the individual treats on the board:
You can purchase a spell book brownie kits at the beginning of the fall season. I have seen them at Walmart during spooky season. I used a standard Better Crocker brownie mix and purchased eyes and black gel frosting, so don’t get too bummed if you can’t find the kit.
While the brownies were baking, I made the other treats. For the Billy zombies, I used pre-made swiss rolls and dipped them in green chocolate, then chocolate sprinkles for the hair, some crazy eyes and finished it with a stitched up mouth.
Next, I made the witch’s fingers. They were Twix bars drizzled with green chocolate and a candy corn used for the nail. The witches brooms were easy, just a dipped chocolate pretzel in a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
I hope you’ll have fun creating a treat board like this or be inspired by another Halloween movie! Follow us on Instagram for more Disney food, travel and fun.
